Audrey & Ben

Audrey and Ben’s wedding day was October 25th, a beautiful, fall day with the air crisp and the sun shining bright.  The Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross was the site for the ceremony on Sullivans Island.  The sunset over the Charleston Harbor at their reception at Harborside East was just the icing on the cake.  Audrey and Ben are two very different people in nature, but make the cutest couple in marriage.  Audrey and Ben both grew up in Aiken, South Carolina but didn’t know or start dating each other until many years later.  Ben sported his Clemson ring, his borrowed (from his father) South Carolina emblem cufflinks and snazzy socks to set off his tuxedo. Audrey’s gorgeous wedding gown flowed like petals down the aisle of the church and later on the dance floor.

The wedding day began for Ben with golf at Bulls Bay Golf Club and a groomsmen lunch.  Audrey began her day with her bridesmaids and family at a luncheon.  It was a day filled with family and friends from sunrise to sunset.  The first moment of seeing each other was as Audrey’s father escorted her down the aisle in the church.  The couple celebrated with lots of dancing including, of course, some shagging.  There were special things they added to their day:  the gospel choir singing in the church, “Oh Happy Day!”, the cigar bar at the reception, customized koozies for the guests, and, with a dress change by the bride, a very upbeat and fun 2nd entrance by the bride and groom.  They entertained the guests with some fancy dancing!  It was such a fun wedding day and reception which ended with the newlyweds departing in a 1957 Bentley.

Thank you to both families, Dangerfields and Georges, it was a magnificent night of love!  A big thank you to my second shooter Rachel Craig!
