“If at first, you don’t succeed try, try, try again!” This old adage is definitely true for Katya and Stephen. They first met through mutual friends at Bay Street Beirgarten, during football season. After she tried to set him up with one of her friends and after he had asked her out several times, Katya decided to give Stephen a chance and she never regretted it! Two and a half years later, after going out to dinner, Stephen took Katya for a walk in a beautiful park in St Augustine.  With Christmas lights still up even in January, and Stephen proposed to Katya.

Katya and Stephen are both from Florida and have a strong attraction for anything connected to the ocean. She is a pediatric resident and he is a coastal engineer.

On March 9, 2019, in the romantic courtyard of The Gadsden House in Charleston, South Carolina Katya and Stephen were married.  It was a timeless, heartfelt occasion. Katya looked stunning as she walked down the aisle in a spectacular gown that featured an elegantly detailed bodice and a full tulle skirt.

Wedding planner, Samantha Anderson with Samantha Anderson Events, created a wedding that resembled a classic Kate Spade garden party with pops of hot pink in the bridesmaids’ dresses and table linens, a beautiful pale green velvet sofa, peach florals and the varied greenery in the tablescapes. The evening overall was one of elegance, joy and a touch of fun, vintage flare!
