I’m so behind with blogging my fall weddings!  So please excuse me, I hope I didn’t lose any of you!

Mary and Dylan – oh, the two are just as cute as can be!  I met Mary and her parents one day in my office prior to her wedding. I knew after meeting them all that the wedding was going to be so fun and very family oriented!  I was not wrong!  They both are in education, Dylan is a special education teacher and Mary works with individuals who have developmental disabilities.

The wedding and ceremony took place at the Creek Club at I’ON on Labor Day weekend.  The weather was another one of those Saturdays we have had recently when you have no idea whether it will rain or not.  But as luck would have it, we had not just rain but rain which arrived 5 minutes prior to the bride walking down the aisle – outdoors.  Everyone had to rush inside to the reception venue, reset all the chairs and tables for the ceremony to take place there instead!  Many thanks to all the guests and the event planners, The Burlap Elephant, for doing it so seamlessly!

The soft colors of the fresh flowers on the cake and the bouquets blended perfectly with the trees and grass all around and the bridesmaids looked beautiful in their sea foam cocktail length dresses. Mary’s bridal gown of lace was beautiful with a stunning back of solid lace.  She carried her bouquet wrapped with a part of her mother’s wedding dress and a handkerchief from Ireland.  The opal ring Mary wore had been given to her mother by her father.

What I loved most about their wedding were the family moments.  Mary wanted to do a first look with her father, and a first look with her two brothers, which, by the way was hilarious as you might imagine the sole sister with two fun brothers!  So many laughs and tears. The first look with Dylan, her groom, was my favorite.  The raw emotion Dylan showed and the sweet devotion between the two of them was an all time favorite for me.  They made it so easy to capture!

What a fabulous wedding day and dancing party complete with an expected eagle spread by a guest!  Before making their departure amid sparklers, the bride and groom were encircled by the whole family for their traditional singing of Billy Joel’s, “Piano Man.”   LOVED it!

Thank you Mary & Dylan for being the sweetest couple!  You laughed, you cried, and you had FUN!  That is what it’s all about!

Special thanks to Sally Watts for helping me shoot this lovely wedding!
