Molly & Brian
“Hey, pretty girl, can I have this dance
And the next one after that
Gonna make you mine there’s a real good chance
Hey pretty girl, can I have this dance”
If you need a story to warm your heart on this cold Charleston day, I have the perfect, charming couple for you to meet. From the moment of that windy day back in March when I met Molly, a sweet, quiet girl and Brian, an outspoken country boy with a huge heart, I knew right away I could not wait to capture the big day and bring their story to life through my lens! Their engagement session took place on the enchanting streets of Downtown Charleston. You can check it out here.
As Molly’s mother, Jennie, slipped the veil into Molly’s hair at St. Luke’s Chapel, it was clear that November 8th would be a day of magic. Molly’s smile lit up the room as her stunning bridesmaids helped her with the final touches. The groomsmen were looking sharp in their black tuxes and bow ties.
The hall of St. Luke’s Chapel quickly filled up with friends and family excited for the day ahead! It meant a great deal to the groom and the bride that they each had a dear grandparent in attendance. Both sides of family were beaming and filled with joy while they waited for their separate families to officially become one – something they’ve been waiting for ever since Brian asked Molly to be his bride on a quiet night at Folly Beach.
The ceremony was breathtaking and all of the guests could not stop raving over Molly’s gown – little did everyone know Molly had decided to wear cowboy boots instead of a pair of fancy heels! This was a sure sign that she and Brian were meant to be and Brian certainly loves his boots too! One of my favorite moments was when the Father of the Bride tripped over Molly’s veil right after he gave her away. As he turned to the audience the look on his face was priceless! However, this little Oops! was such a unique, cute moment.
The reception at the Country Club of Charleston was a blast! The evening kicked off with a touching first dance where Brian and Molly swayed to “Hey Pretty Girl” by Kip Moore – which was chosen by Brian! Soon after, the venue was rocking with The East Coast Party, one of Molly’s favorites. Her family knows them personally and the band even let Terry, Molly’s father, play the drums!
Thank you to Molly and Brian, your families and friends for allowing me to be a part of this happy beginning of your lives together. I wish you two the very best.
I also want to thank Taylor Horton my second shooter for assisting me.
