Ashley & Brian
Ashley & Brian met at a Christmas Party in 2013 in a mutual friend’s home in Atlanta. After some liquid courage, Ashley made her move by pulling Brian onto the dance floor and the rest is history. When they met, Ashley was living in Charleston and Brian in Atlanta. Charleston instantly became a special place for them. While Brian was visiting Charleston one weekend, they decided to have brunch with friends and go for a walk on the Pitt Street Pier to digest all of that delicious Southern cuisine. As they approached the end of the park, he grabbed her by the hands and got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together! Both of their families were waiting at the end of the pier to celebrate with them, while their friends were gathered back at the house ready to party!
Ashley and Brian were married on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Their reception followed at the Gadsden House. Erica Peper of Peper Events did an amazing job with a “Classic Southern Charleston” theme. Charleston has been a very special place for the couple since this was both where their relationship blossomed and where they hope to return.
Since both Ashley & Brian are southern water babies, oyster shells played a big part in their wedding. These pearly white shells were featured as a part of the welcome bags, on the cake display, in the floral arrangements, and were placed as décor accents around the reception. The entire wedding weekend was absolutely charming and a joyous occasion for all!
